Get Ready for Eugene Ballet’s Annual Gala Event!

Now in its seventh year, our annual FUN-raising event, Table Dances, sometimes gets a little side eye on first mention. Previous patrons have described it “the best benefit event we’ve ever attended.” Let’s find out what you can expect on Saturday, March 3.

Watching a ballet performance in the Hult Center or other large venue is thrilling indeed, yet consider how much more intense that experience would be if the performance were within arm’s reach? At Table Dances, we create a unique dining experience, this year at the beautifully remodeled Eugene Country Club, where patrons share their table with two Company dancers for the evening. You’ll learn about their training, their favorite ballets and how they’re proud to be a part of the local community, some of them hailing from as far away as Japan and Puerto Rico.

“Elegant atmosphere, delicious food, interesting conversation with the bonus of being treated to performances by Eugene Ballet’s highly skilled, athletic and artistic dancers right in front of me!”

— Janice Friend, Table Dances attendee

But what about that dancing part? It’s a full evening of it! We showcase our Academy’s Youth program, our Pre-Professional and Aspirant programs, and of course, our Company’s exquisite talents. From your table, you’ll be in awe of the strength, the exertion, and the grace of our students and our Company dancers as they perform. Plus you’ll see an insider preview of our upcoming 40th anniversary season’s incredible ballets, and hear more about our special events to celebrate four decades of Eugene Ballet.

There’s more! After registration check in and locating your table in the dining room, you’ll enjoy passed appetizers and wine in the Country Club’s beautiful lobby. Our emcee—singer, radio personality and KWAX-FM’s Music Director Peter van de Graaff—will beckon you to be seated for the first course at 6:30 pm, but before you do, be sure to find an Aspirant dancer with tickets for sale to win one of our fabulous Prize Packages (see below) or our exceptional Grand Prize, a beautiful gold and diamond Michele Deco Ladies Watch (retail value $850), graciously donated by Harry Ritchie’s Jewelers. Or try your luck at our always sold-out Wine Wall, filled with wonderful varietals from area producers.

“I love this event! It’s a marvelous upscale evening with a wonderful dinner, superb entertainment and chances to win wonderful wines and more—definitely one that should not be missed. From the Academy all the way to the top professionals, the dancers’ performances provide a deeper understanding of the strength, skill, endurance and finesse required in this excellent ballet company.”

—Sharon Snow, Table Dances attendee
