Eugene Ballet Youth (EBY) Touring

Eugene Ballet Youth (EBY) award-winning Touring Teams finished another amazing season of dance, travel, and growth. We’re excited to invite new dancers to join us for the 2024/25 Season as we continue on this inspirational adventure!
The EBY Touring program, led by Sarah Pecht and Liz Warthen, is designed to create a positive environment where serious young dancers can grow as performers and teammates. Dancers will increase their self-esteem, self-discipline, and pride in their accomplishments.
Opportunities are available for dancers ages 6–18 with at least two years of dance experience.

Touring Teams

All competition routines are taught during regular Team classes starting in September 2024, with a potential additional choreography week for some teams August 19-29. EBY Touring Teams perform at  three competitions/conventions in the Pacific Northwest throughout the season. Specific dates will be selected by September 1. In addition to competitions/conventions, dancers may also perform in a few community performances throughout the season.

Class Requirements: All EBY Touring dancers must fulfill all required classes in their assigned level in order to be eligible to participate.

Auditions are conducted similar to a class. Students are led through a small stretch, demonstrate various technique combinations, and learn a short dance. No solos are required. Auditions are closed to parents or spectators. Dancers must wear appropriate black dance attire with hair secured out of their face.
If your dancer is unable to attend the audition, we ask that you still register, pay the deposit, and submit the additional information through the form linked below. Let us know of your dancer’s absence and we will either reach out for a private audition or watch them in their current EBA classes.
Notification of team placements will be emailed when Academy placements are sent in mid-July. Completed agreements and contracts for the 2024/25 EBY season are due on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
