Fall 2017 Academy Class Offerings

September is already here which means it’s time to register for Fall Classes!

We added a beginning contemporary class over the Summer as a trial, and it was a huge success! We will be continuing that class throughout the year on Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30. It is offered to ages 9-15 and taught by Cecilia Woods, who joined the Academy teaching staff this summer.

We are thrilled to announce that Mark Tucker and Danielle Tolmie, Eugene Ballet principals, will continue to hold their Pas de Deux workshops regularly throughout the 2017/18 season! To further develop this program, and offer the opportunity to our new Ballet 6 dancers, there will be both a Partnering 1 and Partnering 2. Both levels will be offered on select Saturdays listed below from 12:45-2:00pm. These dates take into account the company’s touring and performance schedule, and Academy/Youth Ballet commitments. Eugene Youth Ballet rehearsal will occur after Partnering on these dates.

MARK_TUCKER

Partnering 1 will be taught by Mark Tucker and is offered to our Ballet 6.1 female dancers, and our Ballet 6.1 and 6.2 male danseurs. This class will introduce dancers to pas de deux, and prepare them for Partnering 2.

DANIELLE_TOLMIE

Partnering 2 will be taught by Danielle Tolmie and is offered to our Ballet 6.2 female dancers. The structure will be similar to last year, offering a very unique opportunity that incorporates instruction from experienced Eugene Ballet professional male dancers. This one-on-one partnering experience and individual instruction is invaluable to your dancers’ education.

Beginning Ballet for Teens and Adults will now be offered two days a week consistently- Tues/Thurs 6:30-8:00pm. $10 drop-in, no registration required.

Classes will begin on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 and will conclude on December 16. If you are interested in registering for Fall Classes, please visit our Classes page!
