March 8 – 10, 2019
Soreng Theater, Hult Center

Eugene Ballet and the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance are proud to announce an exciting collaboration in Spring of 2019—a new performance event bringing dancers and choreographers from each organization to audiences in the intimate environment of the Soreng Theater at the Hult Center.

Premiering March 8–10, Interplay (the way in which two or more things have an effect on each other) will be created from exceptional new and existing works by four UO Dance faculty and three Eugene Ballet artistic staff, combining the talents of UO student dancers and Eugene Ballet principal, company and aspirant dancers.

“Set to Barber’s mournful Adagio for Strings, Haag’s choreography walks an exquisite line between suppressed emotion and total dissolve…The piece builds organically through lush turns, jumps and lifts, creating a sense of tension and resilience.”
