2020-2021 Season Changes Announcement

Due to the current mandates in place to help protect the community from the COVID-19 virus, we are canceling our March performances of Dance Unphased and rescheduling the April performances of Cinderella for fall 2021. With vaccine distribution underway, we are hopeful to return to the stage this fall.

With the recent shift in the Governor’s mandates, a small number of Eugene Ballet dancers are returning to the studio this week.

“This morning I peered into the studios where our socially-distanced, masked company dancers are taking their first in-studio classes in nearly two months,” Eugene Ballet Artistic Director Toni Pimble said. “We are getting them into shape this week to begin solo rehearsals next week with the hope that soon, we will be downgraded to ‘high risk’ enabling us to have more interaction between dancers.”

Despite canceled and rescheduled performances, we are continuing to keep company dancers working and active, providing content for digital audiences. Next week the doors open to the new Midtown Arts Center at 16th Avenue and Pearl Street in Eugene, with brand new studios and plenty of space for social distancing. We intend to use this downtime to create video content for patrons via our streaming platform.

We know this time has been challenging for everyone and we continue to be grateful for your patience and understanding as we find a path forward.

For patrons holding in-person tickets to Dance Unphased and Cinderella, there are two options for next steps:

· Donate your ticket cost to Eugene Ballet to help support dancers and staff during the shut down, or

· Request a full refund.

To discuss these options, contact the Hult Center for the Performing Arts at 541- 682-5000. The ticket office is currently open Tues-Fri from noon – 5 PM.
