Summer Camps 2024

Dig into the world of Broadway and musical theater in a week full of dance, song and acting. Each day will include dance warm-ups in the Broadway style (with jazz, ballet and basic tap), learning and singing songs from new and classic Broadway shows, theater games AND choreography! The camp will culminate in a showcase of our week’s work. “Join us! There’s no business like show business” 

This camp is an introduction to the foundations of dance acrobatics. Students will work on flexibility, strength, body control, awareness and foundational acrobatics. Basic tumbling work and inversions will be introduced. Specific skill work will include forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, arm and head balances, and bridge work. Students will also be introduced to simple partnering tricks. For the final showcase students will prepare a short acro variation to be performed for friends and families.  

Dancers will be transported to a magical land full of fairies and mythical creatures. Each day, dancers will work on skills that develop creativity, technique, coordination, and self-expression through movement. Dancers will have the opportunity to explore the stories of several classical ballets through dance, music and other creative activities. Join us on Friday for a presentation of the dance and creative work your dancer has created!

Come join us Under the Sea and explore through movement, the oceans and water creatures that live beneath us. Dancers will enjoy fun crafts, learn exciting choreography, sing songs, and play games through the exploration of water creatures and those that dance in the sea! Join us on Friday for an Under the Sea performance!   

This camp will expose students to an array of musical genres and dance styles from ballet, jazz, tap and modern to lyrical, contemporary and hip hop. Students will explore the differences and similarities between each style and learn of their origins and cultural influences. Come join the fun and discover which styles you might like to pursue. Dancer’s will learn skills, steps and choreography from each style and present an end of week showcase for friends and families!

Join us as we dance under the stars! Complex constellations and the wondrous solar system will be incorporated into our exploration of musicality, balance, rhythm, flexibility, and technique. Campers will create shining crafts and will have the opportunity to share all that they have learned in a short showcase on Friday.

This camp is an intermediate acrobatic dance camp. Students will work on flexibility, strength, intermediate limbering, balancing, and introductory contortion. Specific skill work will include hand balancing, front and back walkover variations, and intermediate tumbling. Students will also be introduced to simple partnering and group lifts and experiment with some props. For the final showcase, students will prepare a circus-themed acro dance variation to perform for friends and families.

*Backbend to kick over is required for participation.

Get ready to waltz with the warthogs, cha-cha with the chimps, and rock n’ roll with the rhinos. In ‘Wild about Dance’ we’ll discover multiple genres of dance inspired by the beloved children’s book ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’. Students will learn elements of ballet, jazz, modern, and ballroom dance and present an end-of-week showcase for friends and families! 

This is a special invitation backstage to the behind-the-scenes life of a backup dancer. This camp is an introduction to tour jazz and commercial dancing. VIP access passes unlock the opportunity to learn and perform short jazz combos alongside celebrity guest stars from upper-level classes. Dancers will learn a new short dance each day in various jazz sub-styles to be performed in the final show for friends and families. Don’t forget to pack your stylish shades to shield from the paparazzi. You won’t want to miss this energy-packed VIP-only camp.
