Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Katherine began ballet at age 12 at The School of the Sacramento Ballet and continued her training at Deane Dance Center. While there she attended summer courses at Colorado Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Cornish College of the Arts, and Atlanta Ballet, and performed as a member of Regional Dance America. After graduating she spent a year as a trainee with Sacramento Ballet where she performed in Amy Seiwert’s The Nutcracker and as Odette in excerpts of Swan Lake. Most recently she danced with Ballet Austin as a part of the Butler Fellowship program. This is Katherine’s second season as an Aspirant with Eugene Ballet.
