Emily Payne joined Eugene Ballet as Development Associate in December 2019 and comes to the Ballet with a background in donor database management, donor cultivation and research, graphic design, and marketing and communications. Emily is a Eugene/Springfield area native and has been involved in the performing arts community for nearly 20 years. Much of her experience and expertise is in stage management for community theatre programs, including 12 seasons with Free Shakespeare in the Park, as well as Very Little Theater, Student Productions Association of Lane Community College and Willamette Repertory Theatre.
Since graduating in 2016 with her master’s degree in arts management from the University of Oregon, Emily has worked for local Health & Human Services agency, Oregon Supported Living Program (a Eugene Ballet partner) as Development & Communications Coordinator and for Oregon Contemporary Theatre as a production crew member. She is currently a member of Eugene Young Professionals and has served as Board Secretary for Professional Women’s Network of Oregon.
When Emily is not in the office or at the theatre, she is may be doing one of a variety of activities such as training for long-distance runs, camping on the Oregon Coast, spending time with friends and family, practicing yoga, or dancing to her favorite Spotify playlists.
