Cecilia Woods

Cecilia Woods began dancing at the Albany Dance Academy in Albany, Oregon under Lori DeBord, of the Portland Blazer Dancers, learning such techniques as ballet, jazz, and modern. Later in Corvallis, Oregon, she studied with Shelly Svoboda, a former Eugene Ballet Company member and owner of Regional School of Ballet. Upon high school graduation, she continued her dancing in Seattle, Washington at Cornish College of the Arts under Patricia Hon, Michele Miller, Lodi McClellan, Wade Madsen and Deborah Wolf. After moving to Eugene, Cecilia danced with King’s Krew under Eileen King for a number of years, as well as with the Flex and Pointe performance groups under Lindsey Shields and Angela Dunham at Flex Studios.

Cecilia has taught ballet, jazz, and contemporary for studios such as Musical Feet, Unity School of Dance, as well as teaching hip hop at Springfield High School. She also has taught workshops and choreographed for different studios and dance teams across Oregon. Cecilia is currently an instructor at Flex Studios and Eugene Ballet Academy. She is also the executive and performance director for The Movement Project, a nonprofit which raises awareness and funds research for a rare and aggressive pediatric brain cancer called ATRT.

Cecilia recently had a baby girl named Jo and lives with her husband and her oldest daughter, Franky, at their home in Springfield.
