Bina Anvari was born in Castor Valley, California, and raised in Olympia, Washington. He started ballet at the Johansen Olympia Dance Center at age nine under the instruction of Ken and Josie Johnson. While dancing with Ballet Northwest, he had the opportunity to perform leading roles such as the Cavalier in The Nutcracker and Prince Désiré in The Sleeping Beauty. He also spent many summers in additional training with Houston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theater, and most recently, Whim W’him Seattle Contemporary Dance company. This is his first season as an Aspirant dancer for Eugene Ballet.
