Since its founding in 1978, Eugene Ballet has become one of the largest touring companies in the western United States, visiting more than 100 cities in 32 states and internationally to Bangladesh, Canada, China, India, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, and Tunisia.

Eugene Ballet has built a reputation of performing high-quality shows, providing increased access to dance, and for the past two decades has been sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts to bring ballet to some of the smallest theaters and communities across the U.S.

Education programs are central to the mission of Eugene Ballet and offered as an option with all of our tours.

Mowgli - The Jungle Book Ballet

Mowgli – The Jungle Book Ballet returns to the Hult Center after its spectacular 2012 world premiere! Experience the spirited adventures of Mowgli as he befriends and grows up with Baloo the Bear, and battles the larger-than-life Shere Khan the Tiger and Kaa the Snake. An exotic retelling of Rudyard Kipling’s stories enjoyed by all ages, with fanciful costumes, masks, sets and world music that creates the magic of young Mowgli’s life in the jungle.

The Nutcracker

There’s a joyful magic at every performance as hundreds of aspiring young dancers join the Company on stage, while the Sugar Plum Fairy transports all to the Snow Kingdom and the Land of the Sweets. You’ll cheer and boo at the battle with the not-so-scary Mouse King and his Pirate Henchmice, as Clara and The Nutcracker win the day. Celebrate your holiday season with a marvelous journey to Eugene Ballet’s The Nutcracker.

Sympathique and Everything But The Kitchen Sink

Join us for an unforgettable performance as we choreograph to selected songs by the “little orchestra,” Pink Martini. We open with San Francisco choreogapher Val Caniparoli’s Tutto Eccetto il Lavandino (Everything But the Kitchen Sink), celebrating “invention, relationships and sophisticated wit with wry gestures, beautiful formations and a warm humanity,” (Allan Ulrich, San Francisco Chronicle).

Choreographed by Eugene Ballet’s Artistic Director Toni Pimble, this Shakespeare-inspired production set to Prokofiev’s rich score is a tale of breathtaking passion. The frustration of young love, the intensity of family politics, and gripping fight scenes are brilliantly danced by nationally and internationally acclaimed Eugene Ballet with a dramatic intensity that will leave your audience riveted to their seats. Stunning costumes and elaborate sets add to the theatrical experience. Educational performances are also available.
