Announcement: 2020-2021 Season

Like many of you, we had hoped our community would be in a different place in regard to COVID-19, and that we would be able to safely perform live for you this season. In the ongoing effort to ensure the safety of patrons, dancers, and staff, Eugene Ballet is postponing and significantly altering the previously announced 2020–2021 season. Heaven and Earth, rescheduled for September 2020, is now moving to the 2021–2022 season along with Dark Side of the Moon and Taming of the Shrew. Our annual tour of The Nutcracker to cities across the Northwest has been canceled. Cinderella is rescheduled to later in the reduced 2020–2021 season, which now includes:

The Nutcracker, December 18–27, 2020

Dance Unphased, March 5–7, 2021

Cinderella, April 9–11, 2021

All productions will be performed to recorded music in the Silva Concert Hall at the Hult Center and will be 80–90 minutes with no intermission. Audience members will be seated in the groups they purchase, at least six feet away from other patrons, and limited in-person tickets will be available.

New to this limited season’s offerings is Dance Unphased, a collaborative dance experience featuring choreography by Suzanne Haag, Resident Choreographer; Toni Pimble, Artistic Director, and Sabrina Madison-Cannon, the Phyllis and Andrew Berwick Dean and Professor of Dance in the School of Music and Dance at the University of Oregon. To showcase Eugene Ballet’s versatility and talent, this mixed rep program presents new and existing works that feature smaller groups of dancers.

Season tickets will not be available for these performances, however Eugene Ballet and the Hult Center will reserve all current season ticket seats for the next full season.

Tickets go on sale for the reduced 2020–2021 season on September 22.
