Anne Frank

Friday, April 1, 2011 – 10:15 am
All seats $5, scholarships available
Hult Center for the Performing Arts - Silva Hall
Mauricio Wainrot's dramatic contemporary ballet based on The Diary of Anne Frank is a beautiful, moving ballet that reminds us that freedom, democracy and humanity is still a right we all have to guard. More than a stupendous show that allows you to appreciate the dexterities and qualities of the dancers, Anne Frank displays overwhelming aesthetic and conceptual images against the intolerance and violence of fascism in all its forms. The accompanying resource guide will provide background on Anne Frank, information on this tragic time in world’s history and suggestions for classroom discussions.
