A native of Japan, Yoshie began her studies under Michiko Matsumoto. She graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the aspirant program of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. She was awarded first prize in the Ballet Competition for Youth in Japan. Yoshie has danced professionally with North Carolina Dance Theatre, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida and USA Ballet Company. In June of 2013 she joined Takeru Anzai at the XII International Ballet Competition in Moscow, at the Bolshoi Theater as a non-competing partner. Her roles with Eugene Ballet Company include the title role of Cinderella, Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Odette/Odile in Swan Lake and the pas de deux in Septime Webre’s Fluctuating Hemlines. Last season she danced the role of Princess Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty and was featured in Amy Seiwert’s White Noise, Carmina Burana and in Toni Pimble’s The Great Gatsby.
